Our Programs

All programs provided by the Bridge Adult Service Centre as based on the needs and well-being of our participants. Staff put the participants' best interests as the foundation of each day and of every intention.

Bridge Laundry

The Bridge Laundry Service is a Social Enterprise the provides affordable services to the community, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing.

The program provides a daily program for participants to learn life skills of completing laundry, customer service, and money handling. Between customers, participants enjoy social interactions, social skill programming and project completion time for fundraising activities.

Bargains at the Bridge

Bargains at the Bridge began as a used clothing store in the Croft Street location. This social enterprise provides affordable, quality used goods for the community at large. The store showcases clothing for all ages and sizes, home decor, toys, and home goods.

Participants in the thrift shop spend their days building retail skills, including creating displays, stocking shelves, customer service, and handling the cash register.

Contract Department

The Contract Department provides services to local businesses on a contract basis. Participants provide services such as envelope stuffing, label placement, item sorting, rag cutting, bag opening, flyer folding, etc.

Job Coach

Our Job Coach program partners with local businesses to provide on the job experiences to participants and integrates our program with the community at large. 

Clients gain experiential learning and build valuable relationships on weekly placements.

Life Enhancement

The Life Enhancement department provides programming to participants requiring additional staff support and assistance. Programming focuses on daily life skills, social interaction, communication, fine motor skills, and mobility in a relaxed and respectful environment. Staff strive to provide positive and meaningful experiences while maintaining personal choice.

Life, Social, & Wellness Skills

The Bridge offers a variety of life, social, and wellness programming to clients. These include circle times to discuss appropriate social skills, cooking and nutrition programs, craft programming, yoga, and more.
